Dalton Wallace — Chairman of the Board, Corporate
Dalton Wallace incorporated Safesite in the spring of 1981, and opened its first office in Austin of that year. Houston followed in 1985; Dallas was next in 1989, followed by its San Antonio operation in 1991. Prior to becoming Chairman of the Board for Safesite, Mr. Wallace had a 15 year career with IBM, rising to middle management in computer sales. He graduated with an accounting degree from Loyola University in 1960. Safesite currently stores approximately one million boxes of records and countless computer backup tapes, and employs approximately 200 people.
Michael Ratner — General Manager, Austin
Michael joined Safesite Austin in 2016 as Branch Operations Manager. Since then, he has played an integral role in developing the company’s operational policies and procedures and has led some of its largest projects across the state.
In April 2024, Michael transferred to the Houston branch as Special Projects Manager. There, he guided the Houston operations team through a major relocation — consolidating three separate warehouses into Safesite’s newest and largest facility — while training new management to assume leadership.
In April 2025, he returned to Austin as General Manager. Michael previously served as Service Manager at Alterra Pest Control’s San Antonio branch, where he led, trained, and coached a team of 20 service technicians and 30 sales representatives. His responsibilities included maintaining operational and fleet readiness, scheduling services, managing customer communications, and personally visiting customers to ensure satisfaction.
This experience shaped Michael’s hands-on approach to management and training — an approach he continues to bring to the day-to-day operations of the Austin branch.
Jerry Judkins — General Manager, Dallas
With nearly 40 years of experience in information management and governance, Jerry Judkins has progressed through every level of the industry — beginning as a computer tape librarian and courier, then moving into sales, operations management, and ultimately Vice President of Operations — before rising to President & CEO. He joined Safesite’s management team in October 2025 and currently serves as General Manager of the Dallas branch, holding full P&L responsibility for a high-volume off-site records storage facility.
A key passion and focus of Jerry’s work is helping existing and prospective clients understand their options — and the often overlooked nuances — of records management contracts. He specializes in reviewing large exit, permanent withdrawal, retrieval, and destruction quotes from storage providers, analyzing contract terms and pricing schedules line-by-line to identify inflated rates and unsupported fees, frequently delivering substantial cost savings.
During his more than 30 years with Vital Media Security, Jerry directed full P&L responsibility and strategic direction for the company he helped build and grow, led a comprehensive rebranding and market repositioning effort, and successfully guided the organization through a high-value acquisition while achieving 100% client retention. He also drove new client acquisition, operational excellence, and the development of leadership teams that sustained long-term growth.

Heathe Chambers — General Manager, Houston
Heathe Chambers joined Safesite’s Houston branch in April 2026 as General Manager. He brings more than 25 years of intensive operational experience from FedEx Express Corporation, where he built a deep foundation in process discipline, procedural excellence, and high-volume logistics management.
Heathe began his career with FedEx in 2000 as a driver and was promoted into management six years later. Over the course of his tenure he held progressively responsible roles in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Louisville, Kentucky, before establishing Houston, Texas, as his home base. His career at FedEx was marked by hands-on leadership in complex, fast-paced environments that demanded rigorous adherence to process, continuous improvement of operating procedures, and precise execution under tight service standards.
Heathe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Arkansas Tech University.
Scott Howard — General Manager, San Antonio
Scott Howard joined Safesite’s San Antonio operations in 2018 as Branch Manager. He brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in the commercial truck rental and leasing industry, with a strong foundation in rental management, lease sales, branch leadership, and customer relationship management.
Throughout his career, Scott has worked with leading national organizations including Ryder Truck Rental, Idealease, and Paclease, gaining extensive multi-state experience across Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Texas. His background spans both operational and sales leadership roles, giving him a well-rounded understanding of fleet management, service delivery, and driving branch performance. Most recently, he served as Branch Manager for Cobalt Truck Equipment in San Antonio, where he was responsible for overall location operations and growth.
Scott earned a BBA in Marketing with a minor in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. He and his wife, DeeDee, along with their five children and two grandchildren, reside in the greater San Antonio area.
